Many thanks to fellow rr.tk member, "Kittie". These are great quality. There are 23 total I believe. This is the show we've had 3 or so photos of forever, but poor quality. Randy playing a Dean V on stage with the band Dubrow.

Please adhere the requested handling of the photos on the web page. Thank you very much, Sheryl *r*

Yeah that's Rudy in the background in pic 661. Sheryl thinks the song they played on was Slick Black Cadillac. She shot all of these photos during the one song they played on. I believe Greg Leon was the guitarist in the band at the time. Not sure of the base player, but I'm thinking Chuck Wright maybe?

Actually the guitarist was Bob Stephan and that was his Dean Randy played. Greg Leon was the first guitarist to play in Dubrow in 1980. "First one in, first one out" as Kevin said. Yeah, I'm pretty sure Chuck Wright was on bass at that time, if not it was another guy whose name slips me at the moment.

Yep, that's it as it was less than a month after that photo shoot. Pretty rare shots between the end of the US Blizzard tour and European Diary tour 81.

Awesome to finally put a date to those as they were rumored March of '82 *? Also nice to see other/more shots from that show *r*

yea that was a facebook rumor of March of 82, I called the guy out about it. Nice to see those Reunion pics, I have seen her photo album at one of the memorial 5 years ago and I was drooling.

Yeah, I never heard that rumor. Always knew it was September/October 81 from Kevin Dubrow and a guy named Kerry Doll who said he was on the bill that night in another band. Kevin and Randy did get together in march of 82 on Randy's last tour break and here is what he said here in 2005 about that visit:

Did you see Randy (during his tour break) in CA during early March 82, and do you have any remembrances you could share about the time you spent with him then (if you were in town)?

Yes. We went to the Rainbow when he was off. We had a great night together. I have very distinct memories of our conversations where he shared his thoughts on many things. For many reasons I prefer to keep them to myself.

Also here is Kevin mentioning that night Randy jammed with the Dubrow band. Apparently he did it twice.

ironface166 wrote:
Did Randy ever meet or know any of the guitarists you used in the band Dubrow in 80-81? And while I know you had used Greg Leon and Bob Stephan, was Mitch Perry ever in the band?

Randy knew Greg Leon, had met Carlos when SNOW opened for us. He met Bob Stephen the 2 times he jammed with my DuBrow band. Mitch Perry was in my band for 2 shows.

Okay, now I remembered the name of the bass player whose name I couldn't remember. It wasn't Chuck Wright at that time or that show, but ex-Virgin bassist Gary Van Dyke.

Weird to see Randy playing something other than his LP, Jacksons or PDV, especially weird seeing him play a Dean. Cool shots.

are there anymore pictures of Randy with Deans.
I know there's a picture with him and a sunburst Z
(Deans version of the Explorer) but I can't find any info
about it.

no. there's nothing on their webpage that suggests that.
however, they have a picture of him with the Dean and listed
him as a Dean user, which to be fair, he was at that show.

now, back the the original question...is there anymore pictures
of him playing the cherrysunburst Dean Z(Explorer) ?
