Im in Vegas right now. I had a weird time getting here. I had to take a flight from Indianapolis to Chicago. It was on a plane that looked like a stick of gum with wings on it.

Landed at OHare airport to catch my connecting flight.

Got to Las Vegas where they lost my luggage.

They brought it to my dads house today (thats where im staying while in town)

I however did just pivck up my dodge charger (pearl white!) and will be making the trip tomorrow! Im so excited to meet the others who are making the trip but the rest of you will be in our thoughts.

As like before Im gonna be shooting video and will upload it onto youtube so i can show you guys some clips of the day and try to give everyone else an idea of what its like to be there firsthand!

Since Monday is a work day and a school day for my kids, we went there today....It's only a 40 minute drive from where I live....We left flowers and paid our respects....Very nice and peaceful, but I was a bit shocked because somebody, two girls, climbed up wrote in black chalk their names on the very top part of the moseleum, right where the Rhoads name is inscribed...Hopefully someone who works there will clean it off before the Rhoads family gets there tomorrow.

Well I didn't get to make it this year sadly. I hope everyone going has a great time and please take a ton of pictures.

Listening to some Randy today and going to see a legend tonight: Mr. Lindsey Buckingham up in Asheville. Only a 900 seater so I'm really looking forward to it. Just wish Janet Robin (guitarist and former student of Randy's) was with him this time. That would make it extra special.

From Janet's site:

Quote:
t was awesome studying guitar with Randy Rhoads. I feel extremely lucky to have had that experience. Randy taught locally in my neighborhood where I grew up. My brother who was taking guitar lessons first took from him while I was still studying classical. I eventually moved over to electric and started with Randy. I believe I was his only girl student at the time, but he really did care about any of that. Guitar was his instrument and he was an excellent teacher and really enjoyed teaching. His mom was a music teacher and owned the school where he taught. I feel like Randy has been pigeon-holed into this "metal" guitar god, which is not totally. I don't think he would have wanted that. He was an incredible classical guitarist and an awesome blues riffer. He knew a lot of styles and I really got to hone my lead work thru his different styles he taught.

I SO wish we could be there! :( We couldn't afford it right now and I've recently broken two toes so it would have been very difficult! (plus I'd have missed my mom's 60th birthday and Mother's Day)

I'm thinking of Randy and his family and all you guys who are lucky enough to be there right now.
Have a great day! I'm sure it'll be amazing to be there.

We're thinking of you and are with you in spirit

I hope everyone has a safe trip there and back. Send Randy and family our best. As everyone else who can't make it, I wish I could be there. Two years ago my wife and I started making plans to be out there today, but life happens. At least I can still enjoy his presence through his music.

I went last night. got back into Vegas about 9:30 or so.

I have lots of good pics and little video clips again I'll post on Youtube.

It was great to meet so many people from the board! I was thrilled to see you all. I kept a rather "sunday school" profile since i was in a cemetary and it always kinda blows me away to be there.

I got mto meet Jody,Kelly Garni, Delores and Kathy Rhoads again. I talked to Nivck D'Argenzio for a bit (hes a cool cat man!) and i had a great time.

I ll be posting pics when i get back to Indiana. Im in las vegas and dad only has dial up  . so pics are on the way people!

Id love to see the others everyone else go too!!
