It is very difficult to think about how Randy Rhoads would of sounded like today (if he had lived). When we reflect about his passing 25 years ago, on the 19th of March 1982, it brings to mind that appalling pilot-error aviation tragedy. Randy’s spirit is still with us and his immense body of work most certainly will be heard into the far foreseeable future. This fact did not die on that horrifying day.

Most of the posters on this board do have a guitar (you BETTER play it every day this month) to express their budding creativity on. How can we guitar players have a moment of silence for Randy on the 19th this month? That is impossible. Randy Rhoads was just so loud and great sounding for us to be silent on any single day of the year.

It is so moving to hear that many people are planning to go to Randy’s traditional family memorial service. Please send my best wishes and utmost respect to the Rhoads Family.

Ray

Great post, dude. Yeah, 25 years........wow...been a long time. I haven't touched my guitar since last week....I need to plug it in. But I can't wait to see what is going on this month for him. I'm going to play guitar all day on the 19th. I wish I could go to the memorial service, but alas, I live in Missouri, so whoever knows the Rhoads personally, give them my regards.

While playing guitar and playing along with Randy! Great Idea! I'll do it but I won't be anywhere near as good or same sounding as Randy was.
