The Famous Montreal show. This is where the solo for Tribute was taken from.

Cableguy i have a request. Could we possible get this show in a lossless format. I d love to see a remaster of this. we could talk to Gardner over at Dime. The tape on this show seems to be a bit fast at first. other than that this show is amazing. Thanks for all you do for the audio of Randy.

Unfortunately the tape I have of this I found to be pieced together upon closer listening. This version posted is MP3 sourced. I have several versions of the Montreal show, but all are either missing the Sabbath songs, or are not near the quality, or are pieced together.

This should have been tribute!!!

Crank this up and just listen to it!!

Rudy & Tommy are jamming, Randy is in his element and Ozzy,......
Well Ozzy is struggling to sing!

If it weren't for reading "Off the Rails", I would never know why!

Is there anywhere that Randy does not throw one of his screeches, his riffs and his total technique into anyplace he can fit them!

The TONE IS GREAT on this show!

Dave

Paranoid off this show is the best ive ever heard, That pinch harmonic after the first verse is the most soulful note I have ever heard as far as AH's go. Everything in this version is perfect.

The wah part in children of the grave is awesome sounding and officially has me convinced that randy used one of the old Morley chrome wahs and just used a standard crybaby enclosure to control it(all the guts inside his actual board), This along with a bunch of other clips has me 100% convinced its a morley.

Believer - Hands down best version he played live

Overall I feel Randy felt the cleveland show (tribute) was not his best and wanted to make up for those big mistakes he made on crazy train, and he knew the Montreal show was be pro recorded and would be a choice of this show(monreal) or cleveland for a future live album, You can just tell he put in 110% through out the show.

I just love the delay on some of his solos!

Totally awesome show... It seems like he's got the chorus on all the way.

Did they tune the instruments up a semi tone on this show?

my guitar was tuned in standard E and I could play together with Believer for example, and I was in the same tuning as RR..

It may be the speed of the recording affecting the pitch. Many of my shows are taken from cassette tape on an old Sony cassette deck. Sometimes if it's noticeably slower/faster, I'll take a whack at it with Cool Edit Pro, but it's only by ear for me.

You can tell the chorus is on throughout the show, but it seems it was clicked off and forgotten to be put back on during the beginning of Iron Man, Listen to the change in tone once the main verse comes in, theres a obvious volume boost from the chorus and the tone becomes what it was throughout the show again.

This show is once again available, now as a ZIP file. If you need WinZip, you can get it here: http://www.oldversion.com/program.php?n=winzip

This show is in WAV format. It has been upgraded by our friend Barkatozz! Thanks bark 8)

I don't know if this link will work guys but, it is the Montreal show right from the board as recorded at Wolfgang's Vault.
http://concerts.wolfgangsvault.com/player.aspx?ConcertID=20050571%7C5255&StartTrackID=1

If this don't work go here and sign up, do the search for Ozzy and it's there. EXCELLENT QUALITY!!

I'll take a look this weekend, and re-upload if necessary. The version I have up is the same one mentioned above, courtesy of Barkatozz. The Wolfgang version is great quality, but this one is actually better quality, in the correct song order and complete, where as I believe the Wolfgang's Vaults version starts with FHA and is missing a few songs.

Paranoid from Montreal is just SICK 8)

OK guys, I deleted the old ZIP and am uploading the new one now. It'll be ready in just a minute or two. I tested it prior to uploading it, and it works fine. Let me know if there any other problems, and if you like the show, post a comment about it!

Thanks again to Barkatozz for this incredible version =D>

Thanks Cableguy!! This is a great gig.
What amazes me is that Randy wasn't a fan of Playing the Sabbath tunes,
but man he really rips it up during those songs.

No problem guys. Barkatozz certainly came through with this one. My version was good, but this one smokes! Cparra, the Montreal version of Paranoid is straight out SICK! The fills he plays in this one, especially those harmonics, are so damn cool. He turned these into completely different songs for me.
