Hi All!

I've setup a download of the UK Diary of a Madman tour programme. It was really awkward to scan with me having to scan the bottom of each page and fit it to the top part. Its a bit disjointed as a result. It was from one of only two gigs they did on that tour before it was cancelled. The gig was in Cardiff. Nice story is that during Randy's solo, a girl got on stage from the audience, wrapped her arms around him and gave him a kiss! He never dropped a note! There is also a small clipping from UK Music magazine Sounds (sadly no more). This was a great read with much space devoted to rock music.

The programme link is http://homepage.ntlworld.com/timram66/D ... urProg.zip
In case you have not seen it, you can download the UK Blizzard of Ozz tour programme with poster at this link:

Thanks for the post.

Interesting look at the gear SG, two Paul’s and only one Jackson

"hmm very interesting” say it with a count Dracula accent for it to work.

I have not seen any pictures of RR playing a SG live or the Black Paul he owned either and did he not have the other Jackson by this stage.

Please mr iron what say you.

Nice break down of the effects as well.

Theres a pic of him playing an SG in the Quiet Riot days, I cant remember if it was live or not, might have been a rehearsal or something

Couple curious items here. Well, first the annoying one-they mispelled Randy''s last name in the credits, but not on his full page pic. They didn't bother giving Lindsay Bridgewater creit at all and just listed "Keyboards".
Now the tricky one. Randy didn't get his "Best New Guitarist" award till the end of December 81 and also his Sounds award. How did they get that info printed into the programme a month before?

As for the guitars, Randy didn't have his black Jackson yet, he got it in mid December right before the start of the US Diary tour, so that's why they didn't list it. Randy had the black and white Les Pauls, but only played the white one onstage as he was having a hard time getting used to the black one because the pickup was right where he hit the strings with his pic. He had picked up a white SG as well in his last year, but didn't play it live. The guy who did the programme probably got just the info on what guitars Randy had at the time, though not all were used live.
I don't think the SG mentioned was his early black one from his first Quiet Riot days. There are a pair of pictures of Randy playing that one in the Gallery.
