Well, obviously, I didn't mean now...that's not the point of this whole thing.....I just simply meant it as apposed to going out to a random person...I thought it would be in better hands at Musonia so everyone else gets to see it. :P Sorry for the miss-understainding :P

No misunderstanding from my end bro. :) I just think that THAT decision is for Kelly. Sorry for the mix-up.

Hi Everyone,
Well, I'm getting a ton of support from all of you and a great many responses. I'll see how things go over the weekend and I'll update everyone on the progress so far. I think "Harry" had a good idea there about the book going to musonia, if everyone thinks that's I good idea, then I'm all for it. I'm sure that school would fall into the hands of Randy's nieces someday. Good job Harry! Kelly Garni

I too think that's where it should go to in the end.
(I think Harry's initial post was worded in a way that made people think he meant it should go there now. That's how I read it too but thankfully Harry has cleared that up now.)

Kelly, leaving it to one to of the investors in your will was a nice initial thought but I do think the best place for it to end up would be at Musonia, rather than an individual.
There are so many new members here who are really very young who have just discovered Randy and long may that continue.
Hopefully Musonia will still be a place for fans to visit in the distant future, still run by Randy's family and the fans can visit, see his teaching room, his old amp from Quiet Riot etc and have a look through THE scrapbook.

It goes without saying that I hope the day the scrapbook ends up at Musonia will be a distant one...

Des.

Hey all,

I'm late getting to this hot topic. I am one of the people who have met Kelly Garni and seen this scrap book in person. The book is incredible. There are so many memories and collections that you could look through it and find something new every time.

On that note - hats off to the site here on getting those memories to stay with Randy's friend. Very nice. I know Kelly is so grateful.

My money is tight with a new baby, but I hope I can contribute to help him. I've seen the book already, but I'd like to be a part in helping him out. I've been in that state of needing money and not knowing how to get it. Reminds me of the Jimmy Stewart movie "It's a Wonderful Life" when he realizes how rich he is having friends who care.

God bless everyone for making it happen.

Jeffrey

Im not getting e mailed to say replyes have been posted :( I think its a great idea that it should go to the family, i fear otherwise it could one day end up in the wrong hands and possibly split for money making purposes :( a collection like that should stay compete  and passed onto family :)

It would be a perfect setting for a Randy museum in the future, and a great place for the scrapbook. If you've ever met Randy's family, you'll know that we future generations of people who are also good people, and who will help preserve the legacy.

It's so great to see everything building in such a positive direction regarding Randy 8) .

I think i would like to take this one step further. i am in for 90, basically buying 2. but what i would like to do is donate one to a memeber who cannot afford to pitch in at this time.

that way i donate 90 to kelly and i also take care of a fellow member

it isn't much but i feel that might be the right gesture for something like this

i think i would leave it to Des to decide who would get the other DVD, so if he would take your story in a private PM as to why you might be in a tough position right now then i will let him take care of who gets this.

Des i don't want to put you on the spot so if you don't want to do this than thats cool. you don't have to be responsible for shipping or all that stuff, just PM me with the person's name and address and either i can send the other one when i get it or we just let kelly know and he sends it out??

i hope i am reading all this correctly, that there will be 100 DVD's made from kelly??

anyway thats how i think randy fans take up causes.

Trock,
That is so nice of you to do that for a lucky member who can't get one at this time. You are a good person at heart.

No, I really don't want to be responsible for that thank you.
MEMBERS, please don't PM about the DVD, I really don't want to be the one deciding who gets a free DVD.
EDIT: trock has informed me via PM that he will choose himself. Thank you.

Wow, guys. This is an awesome act of kindness. I would definately throw in my hands if it were possible, but I'm afraid I have nothing to give except my support.

I can't think of a better place to enter my first post. As a long time fan of Randy's, I first learned about him in 1991, it is amazing to see people coming together to help out Kelly. Count me in for 45.

Wow, something was telling me to check this site again. I'm really glad I did.
I had no idea this was going on.

This whole thing means a lot to me because I gave the scrapbook it's facelift back in 2000. Working with the scrapbook and meeting Kelly was a wonderful experience, something i'll always remember fondly.

My $50 check is in the mail as of tomorrow. Best of luck to Kelly during this difficult time.

Jill/Iris
