Matt and I just want to use this thread to promote the rr project CD. The CD is going to have all original music that has been written by fellow Randy fans and even ex students. We'd like to thank everyone who burned the midnight oil to get their songs finished and turned in by the deadline (I was in this spot myself.) Over at the MySpace page six of these songs are posted already. The actual CD will be ready by March 19th. Contact me or Matt about ordering your copy.

All profits are being donated to the RR Scholarship fund at UCLA which helps talented students pay for guitar lessons who are low on funds.

Peace,
Mike

Matt and I have the count at 12 songs. I would like to get uncompressed WAV files of everyone's songs and use those for the CD burn. I am going to have to get in touch with all contributors. LOL \

But yeah, a dozen songs is perfect for a nice length CD of songs!

Wow, some great stuff there! :D I'm really digging "Rhoads Of Life" (Donster), Cometary Bullets" (Chaos Curbs) and "3" (Matt Pain) alot at the moment. I might be missing it, but there are more aren't there than just the 6 on the playlist? Again, great stuff!

There is 12 tracks that I know of for sure and maybe one or two more than that in the bin. We're trying to get the first series burned by March 19th.

Yeah I am elated and proud about how this turned out. The spectrum of the song list and the willingness of the song authors to give a piece of their art over for the project speaks volumes! Again I thank everyone for the support.

Message from Matt:

Quote:
Hello everyone

Firstly thank you for those who bought copies of the 2008 cd project. As you know I delt with the European end and Mike Lowery dealt with the rest of the world.

Today Suzie and I are sending off the amount for our end to The RR Scholarship, UCLA.

In total we have raised about $550 profit, which may be small scale in some respects, but will ensure a needy and talented student could pay towards tuition and afford sheet music.

There will be another one soon to be announced and already on board we have ex RR students Rober La Fond, Janet Robin as well as Bernie Torme, all submitting tracks.

Here is the RRCD Project page.
Please feel free to add

Hi everyone :D

I am around my mum and dads and can actually get on (I can't on my own computer!)

Thanks Gina for posting, and thankyou all of you who supported the previous project.

Please e mail if you are intersted in contributing to the next one RRCD. Former pupils Robert La Fond and Janet Robin have already conforimed their participation as well as a contribution from Bernie Torme.

Funds will probably be going again to the UCLA RR Scholarship fund *r*

Take care and lets keep the Rhoads name burning bright!
