Kevin K inspired me to record my own idea of Diary but on acoustic. I rush quite a bit since I have no sense of timing, and a lot of it is not not for note..not even close probably, but I always have fun tinkering with it. I also did the little intro to Blackstar by Yngwie and When The Children Cry Dee :P Recorded with my Takamine acoustic through a Line 6 POD UX1.

Darin that was great ,I've been trying to play guitar on and off forever and I still can't play anything. I think its time for me to take lessons. My 8 year old son is starting lessons soon.

Well it certainly wasn't nonsense! I have never heard you play acoustic before either. Bravo 8)

Have you a classical guitar at home Darin?

No. I'm a bit afraid of the necks. From the ones I've seen, they are pretty wide, and I have a difficult enough time with the Takamine. That L.P. Studio baseball neck....now that fits :D Honestly, I don't think I'd have the coordination for classical style finger picking.

I think going by on what you have said; either a parlour style Classical guitar would suit you.

Aria do one that is under a grand. The bodies tend to be a little smaller and the necks thinner; especially if you are used to the types of neck you are.

Also I found you this
http://www.music123.com/Yamaha-CG151C-C ... 2.Music123

Only $350!

Don't be intimidated by the co-ordination aspect of classical. If you take gradual steps anything is attainable!

I will sign off before I become even more evangelical about the wonders of nylon!

I've got a while before I can buy any more toys, but when I can, I'll keep a look for something like this. Maybe a trip to the music store is in order to play on their dime :P

Hi Darin

I want to hear more! 8)

Re the Diary of a fatman, I don't know why it made me think of it, but our Cartman 'teddy' has various sentences he blurted out when you pressed his stomach. A few years back we spilt a drink on him and thought he no longer spoke ... until in the middle of the night he shouted "I'M NOT FAT I'M BIG BONED" then most frighteningly "I WOULD NOT KILL ANYONE, NOT LESS THEY PISSED ME OFF" LOL

Matt

Cartman is awesome. One of my favorite Cartman quotes is from the holiday''s: "I'm not fat.....I'm festively plump".

If you are a fan of South Park, you MUST see Team America: World Police *LOL*LOL* The best movie ever made *LOL*LOL*

Hi Darin

Re Team America; I found it very funny, not to mention the great satirisation of the current climate of the US.

I will be honest I don't 'get' Family Guy, South Park etc etc. All the kids love it at the school I teach- and loads of mates I have love it, but if it's on; it just runs it's course and I watch it as a normal show but don't understand the humour LOL... Or I can see where the comedy is... but it doesn't click :)

Now Inspector Clouseau, Melvin Udal or Clark W Griswald are a different kettle of comedy fish LOL ; but then I am venturing SERIOUSLY off topic!
