i got a chance to see a short demo today, i was not impressed actually.

I have to be blunt honest as Ozzy says, first off Guitar Player magazine was gonna publish these stuff., If it was advanced at all Randy's Mom surely would of put a book together by now.,

But regardless of the level the guitar lessons are on it does mean allot to a Randy Fan or collector., i heard many recordings of Randy teaching and i was blown away by those, i mean for his age and how he tailored the lessons around the students goals just tells you allot about what Randy was doing with his time., DEDICATION IS ALL I CAN SAY HERE!

Huh? Guitar World Magazine did publish this stuff. At the time that Randy wrote the lessons it was advanced, but with schools like GIT, the guitar world has become way more advanced than what it was in 1979.

The value in this material is to learn how Randy went about teaching, not to hear some blazing solo by him. I've got a lesson tape of Randy teaching a student tat sounds really cool, but when I listened to it in conjunction with Bob's lesson material I could see exactly what Randy was trying to teach and I learned new things to add to my playing - and the lesson tape is Randy teaching a different student, not Bob LaFonde.

Ultimately, there is more to learn about Randy than hearing the solos he played with Ozzy. We need more students to come forward and share like Bob has. We need to support anyone willing to share this stuff.

Yeah i agree with you about the students or at least his mom could work on a book., that will be the best thing ever, not only will we all understand who he was but also her and her part.

Too bad we never got to hear what he was working on before he passed away.
