 Sorry man, I don't have the budget that Stern does! Rick Derringer huh? Why didn't you just say "Rock n' Roll Hoochie-Koo"?
I would have loved to have challenged Baba Booey if it was a game of 80's metal "Stump The Booey". I'd have made him put up a chick as well.

Oh and just for the record..
STRYPER stands for Salvation Through Redemption Yielding Peace And Righteousness

(Yeah, I know that the "And" isn't an "E", but I guess they didn't wanna call themselves STRYPAR. )

No apologies necessary brother. NO ONE has Stern's budget. I didn't want to say "Hoochie-Koo," cause I thought that that might be too easy. :D As far as I can tell, you would've stood a very good chance of beating Booey. You really do have a vast knowledge for this kind of thing. And the chick................well,that's just extra incentive.   Thanks for the STRYPER info. I NEVER would have gotten that one. 8)

1. The Who

2. :? What are you asking? Lots of people have been rated "one of the greatest of their type". Are you asking in the band,The Who? :? If so, Keith Moon and John Entwistle had gotten raves, but your question is too vague.

3. Rick Allen of Def Leppard

4. I don't consider Dire Straits part of the hard rock heavy/metal trivia Im into,so I don't pay attention what they recorded with or played. Not a fan. Disregard that one.

5. Vincent Price

Keith Moon was who I was on about, and he was in the Who, which is what the question was. Dire Straits was done on a madalin :D
and 5 was done by an impersonator of Vincent Price even though I have always thought it was VP yesterday on the maiden forum I read it was done by an impersonator

I guess the way you phrased it as "Who had someone" as oppossed to "The Who" had someone" (meaning the band) that was confusing, but I kinda figured it out by the Roger Daltry (not Doultry) thing. Got it anyway.

I'll pull out my "Number Of The Beast" LP and see if they listed anyone for that intro part, as you hear alot of rumors at message boards.

An early 80's LA band that featured nearly all the members of Guns 'Roses before the name change. Axl Rose, Izzy Stradlin, Chris Weber (guitar), Johnny Kreis (drums) and later Duff McKagan, Steven Adler and Traci Guns (guitar). Became Guns n' Roses, then Traci left (they kept his last name n the band's name, along with Axl's )and Slash was brought in after an audition for Poison.

And on the Strpyer thing, yes, that Isah quote was a factor, but they've said the letters translate into the mentioned acronymn for them.

Name the Central PA NWoBHM band who appeared on the UK charts briefly and in the pages of Kerrang! They eventually released one album on Belgium's Mausoleum Records in the early 80's.

Bonus: If you can, name the members and the Mausoleum album title.

:? A band from central PA can't be a NWOBHM band, as those were all from Britain. The info is kinda vague as all I've got to go on is a PA band that was on UK charts and the record label. :? Give me something else to work with.

I agree with you on the NWoBHM designation. Basically, the band was described in Kerrang! as a US band in the spirit of the NWoBHM.

Good Luck! ;-)

Who is Spencer Proffer's son's name?
Who played bass on "Pretty Pack o' Lies" on the DTTB album?

Thanks for the definition, too!

:? Too broad a field for me. Let me think about it for a bit.

I'm not too up on producer's (or most musicians. ) offspring's names, unless they have some kind of claim to fame (or infamy) of their own. Sorry, no idea.

As for the bass on "Pretty Pack O' Lies", I know your guy Chuck Wright was on the majority, so I'll guess Matt Littell for that song. :?

I'll throw a few out:
What band did Led Zeppelin open for at their debut concert in the US?

Who played bass on Dokken's "Breaking The Chains" LP?

Nope. Juan's picture appeared on the LP, but he didn't play on it (ala Rudy and a few albums). The bass was done by Peter Baltes of Accept because Juan's girlfriend tore up his passport and he couldn't get to Germany where the recording was done. Accept were also using that studio, so Peter was asked to do the album. Juan quit the band shortly after due to problems with Lynch.
