Well it appears Vinnie Vincent is returning! As most will know, Vinnie was the first guy to use Randy's Jackson model after Randy's passing!

His luthier Tom Paleki (AZG Guitars) and Vinnie's wife were at NAMM in LA showcasing 4 new guitars!

Sadly, looking at the second link I posted, he may have priced himself out of the market!

I always thought Vinnie's double vee guitar looked awkward and painful to play, but "All Systems Go" had some good songs on it. It's my favorite Slaughter album. :P 'Love Kills' and 'That Time of Year' are still underrated classics. I heard that Slaughter and Strum wrote most of the songs, but VV had some great melodic solos on there, too.

I think the first VVI album (with Robert Fleischman ) was better than the slaughter one....although I still like both

Agree. "Animal", "Boys Are Gonna Rock", ""I Wanna Be Your Victim", "Shoot You Full Of Love", while all mentally stimulating subject matter and a songwriters masterpiece lyrically ( ) all rocked. Even Vinnie's minute or two of "Yngwie on crack shredding" at the end of "Animal" was entertaining. Wasn't too big on the image for the album but it still kicked a bit of ass.

Yeah it's a shame they went the glam look because he was harder edged than glam and a better song writer too. And he could play rings around any glam guy at the time as well! He actually has some parallels with Randy other than using the Jackson Randy guitar. They both aren't that well known outside of the guitar community and both recorded about the same amount of music. Which is a damn shame for both of them and us fans as well! By all accounts Randy was a lot easier to work with, which would explain the fact that Vinnie hasn't released anything since his EP in 96'!
And his gold RR was the sh*t, Willow! Pity he painted it pink for the Lick It Up tour!

P.S. The only forum that talks about Vinnie is at http://www.vvforums.com but so far Vinnie has failed to join us in any conversations!  +) +)

You'll probably find that Strum/Vincent ripped off Rik Fox's S.I.N. material for "All Systems Go" while listening to the mix-downs in the studio.

Check out Rik Fox's interview & search Vinnie:

Go on You Tube & listen to S.I.N.'s "On the Run" & Vinnies "Let Freedom Rock."
Listen from about 1:29 on Vinnies, after the Star Spangled Banner!

Good grief! My favorite non-Slaughter, Slaughter album possibly not written by VV, Slaughter or Strum either, but by Steeler's bass player's band?
Maybe that was part of the reason why I was disappointed when I heard the first Slaughter album after much anticipation. I have always heard that the whole LA scene was such a hypercompetitive, dog-eat-dog world back in the 80s, so I wouldn't be surprised if this is true. Slaughter and Strum didn't have nice things to say about VV either and didn't stay with his band for more than a few shows if I recall.

Hear what Paul, Gene, and Bruce say about Vinnie during the Q&A at Kiss Kon 95. Paul eventually gives in and decides to tell of a specific example of how Vinnie ripped off a fan. Very disheartening.

hymm .... in all honesty, as much as I want to believe Paul, I believe that Kiss have had hired guns since ace and peter left and that they will protect themselves anyway possible. Could it be true about the unethical things they refer to .. maybe, I have heard this in other places also.. I think they should get Bruce Kulick back.

I'd love to see a reunion with Ace and Peter, but that probably will never ever happen again.

...fun little video with Dan "I can dream about you" Hartman, GE Smith and Vinnie. Reminds me of something off The Electric Company or some Saturday morning TV show from the 70s.
