I was listening to some Marley just the other day. My 13-year-old daughter was in the car and liked what she heard and asked what CD I had playing. I told her it was Marley and asked if she knew who that was. She said, "A really famous reggae singer from Jamaica who died young." I told her she was allowed to continue calling herself my daughter.

I am a huge Marley fan. I visited his home last summer in Jamaica. If you want an album of hit songs, then get legend. But I perfer survival, roots rock regae and the rest of his albums that are not so mainstream. He has tons of great tunes. I have some video clips on my youtube link which is right below this of my visit last year.

I've been a huge fan of Bob's since my senior year of high school ('87). Bob's music has a special place in my soul. It is my "mood" music. When I need something uplifting or inspiring, it's Bob. When I need to just relax and be happy, it's Bob too 8) I got my son hooked on Bob and related to him how when I'm feeling down or need some inspiration, I put on some Marley and everything seems to turn around. He's taken note and is a big fan too.

We traditionally get our kids a calendar every year for Christmas. This year, my son got a Marley calendar *r*

While I started with Legend (like most), I've found my favorites spread throughout his discography.

Off the top of my head, starting with my absolute favorite, but in no particular order after that:

Waiting In Vain *r*
Coming In From The Cold
Wake Up and Live
Put It On
Small Axe
One Foundation
Rebel music
Talkin' Blues
Positive Vibration
Roots, Rock, Reggae
Natural Mystic
Kaya
Is This Love
So Much Trouble In The World *****(see below)
The entire Uprising album *r*

***** from the album Survival: I am NOT advocating the use of ganja, BUT...this song is unreal when slightly altered. It's been a very long time, but I remember just freaking out because it just made this particular song sound like it was in 3D and you heard all the little weird noises, birds and such. GREAT song either way.
