impressive interview...looks like Phil worked through alot of his issues and came out the other end a better man for it. man, that dude and Pantera were/are a HUGE part of my past, and it's good to see the man lookin' and soundin' healthy and happy again. *r*

p.s.....his neck musta went down a few sizes, cause I remember that dude havin' a massive neck.

thank you much for puttin' up that link, Alex...much appreciated.

Awesome interview. Phils a cool dude, but seems a little out there (drugs will do that to you ). I memeber when they had the updated Pantera 'Behind the Music', he was a ramblin about how Vinnie needs him and this and that... odd but its Phil F**kin Anselmo

ginaweena and rickhawk said that anselmos' always been kinda "odd"....I guess they all came from the same neck-O-da-woodz, so they either knew him or knew of him indirectly.

As Jeepster pointed out in his post up above here, Phil is an odd duck and always has been. We both grew up in New Orleans and as a teenager he used to hang out in the record store where I worked. Always kinda squirrelly as a kid -- the type that was unpredictable for how he might react to stuff -- but he turned it into something powerful on stage. *r* One of the other guys who hung around a lot was Kirk Windstein, who went on to form Crowbar and plays with Phil these days in DOWN. I'm still in touch with Kirk but haven't talked to Phil in years...
