This is so so sad. Ronnie has been a big part of all our lives. Everytime you watch him in an interview, he is the most humble sincere person. What a great loss this is to music. I was just watching his acceptance of the golden god award and his interview later on was so touching. I think it's fair to say that all of us in the metal community loved Ronnie. His passing is very hard to accept. Very sad day

These horns are for Ronnie \m/ *r*

definitely a heavy metal Freddie Mercury in my book; so operatic and full of power in his vocals. Saw him two years ago in London; he still had it 8)

Except for the fact that he wasn't gay? I'd agree.... :)

Ronnie. Oh no. :( :( :(
I feel like a piece of my own heart has been cut off without anaesthesia.
For all these days since he left us I'm listening to his music... he was incomparable... flawless... and always will be.
May he rest in peace, the great man, great singer, great icon of metal.
People say in the Web that now Cozy, Randy, Cliff and Dimebag have got the best singer to play their great gig in the sky.

RONNIE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! WHY? IT'S NOT FAIR! WE WILL ALL MISS YOU! ROCK ON!!!!!!!! *cries and sobs extremely loudly* (I really have been wanting to get more albums with him for quite some time now.... namely Dehumanizer and stuff with Ritchie Blackmore... but I have been broke! My daughter eats up all my money!).

  That was so sad to read. Thank you for posting that and thank you to Geezer for letting us in. How horrible that must have been to go through that. I have been bummed about this all week long. I have never been so afected by a musicians passing before. Eddie Trunk had a nice tribute show here in NY last night. 3 hours of Ronnie stories and music all night from elf to heaven and hell and guests such as Rob Halford chimmed in live.

This past Thursday I went and sat in the audience for a taping of VH1 Classic's "That Metal Show" (which will be airing in a couple of weeks), it was a Dio tribute show with tons of guests like Geezer Butler, Vinnie Appice, Wendy Dio, Simon Wright, Rob Halford, Tom Morello, Claude Schnell, Scott Warren, and Craig Goldy. Needless to say it was a somewhat solemn episode filled with tons a Dio related stories. A few tears were actually shed as well. Craig Goldy lost it a couple of times but was so appreciative of everyone there. During a long break in the taping he actually went into the audience, introduced himself to every single audience member and thanked each and every one of us for attending. That guy is a real class act and a monster of a guitar player!

I'm afraid I'm not familiar with Tom Bell. Who is he?
