And so should you check them all out! They're all great in they're own ways...

Before the festival, I had heard of all of these bands, but with the exception of Fates Warning, my only exposure to them was YouTube. After seeing them all live, I'm definitely a major fan of theirs now, and have a re-kindled interested in Fates Warning. I haven't seen a lot of mention of any of these bands here, so...

1) Diablo Swing Orchestra - a bizarre blend of swing jazz, metal and female operatic vocals... and it works! They put on an incredible live set (and their first ever on these shores).
2) Fates Warning - Prog metal legends... need I say more? (And their encore was "The Ivory Gate of Dreams"!!!)
3) Pagan's Mind - Has officially dethroned Dream Theater (in my books) after 16 years to become my new favorite band!

Anyone else familiar with these bands? What are your thoughts?
If you haven't heard these amazing bands, head over to YouTube and check them out!

I'm online checking out (1) and (3) right now based on your comments (I already am well aware of Fates Warning). *r*

UPDATE: Yep, they're both good, Wolf. I particularly like the Pagan's Mind stuff I listened to on their MySpace page. 8)

Coolness, Rick. I was going to suggest some stuff, but by your edit, you've beat me to it. :)
Glad you're enjoying it. I can't wait to see Pagan's Mind again on the Triton Power Cruise in 3.5 months. *r*

Cool!
Nah... I prefer the soaring voice that Nils has. Just my opinion, but I wouldn't care for them if they had cookie monster vocals.

Although... their song "Atomic Firelight" has some very interesting verses vocally. :P
