Does anyone like this band? I think they are a really amazing band and the dude from RATM teaming up with Sound Garden is awesome. I never thought Tom Morello could dish out the stuff he did with Audio Slave but he did and his solo on Like A Stone is awesome. Just wondering if anyone else was into them.

Yep. I thought their last album -- for which they didn't even tour -- was their best.

Chris Cornell has put out some real crap since the break-up (and Tom Morrello's "Night Watchman" protest-folk is pretty lame, too). :?

:!: Are you kidding? They broke up in early 2007 -- the rest of the band (minus Chris Cornell) reformed RATM for a few reunion shows, and both Tom Morello and Chris Cornell have both put out two solo albums each in the last two years.

Think you got Chris Cornell and Tom Morello mixed up with Slash (VR) and Scott Weiland (STP). Wrong bands.

it's more or less the other way around.
Audioslave was RATM - Zach Delarocha + Chris Cornell :)

Dont you mean the guys from RATM teaming up with Cornell...Honestly I like a few songs. I cant stand Cornell's voice anymore. His voice in Soundgarden was amazing.

On a side not, you obviously haven't listened to RATM, because Morello has been doing solos like that for years :?

Dude Who are you to talk? I mean Tom's Solos may sound all the same but I thought that one rather stood out more than usual and had a lot of feeling in it. I have been listening to RATM for about 3 years now. I love Battle Of Los Angeles and just plain RATM (the album) and Pistol Grip Pump. All great albums.

Wtf do you mean my who am I to talk? Whats that supposed to mean. Ive been listening to Rage for about as long as you have been alive. And my thing is it sounds like stuff hes done...His whammy pedal with delay (take the intro of Revolver for example)...audioslave = watered down RATM without Zack's brutal lyrics

I meant you said I haven't listened to RATM well you're wrong. Don't take everything so seriously. I know that all the solos have all been similar. They all use effects.

I know jeez!   God I was making a point SIR. Most of his solos use effects just like how Zakk Wylde uses pinched harmonics in like every song.
