I am really getting into them lately, if you guys had to choose what is your favorite song but them? Mine would have to be Symphony Of Destruction, Skin O' My Teeth, Tornado Of Souls, or She Wolf. There are a really amazing band. Reminds me a lot of Metallica (haha duh) and Dave Mustaine is a really good vocalist better than James, but they are both unique. They are really heavy and I like it. *r* Such sick thrash band, why did they kick him out, (metallica).

i'm not really sure why, but i've always liked Angry Again a lot.. i think that would be my favorite song by them.

also i think Metallica kicked Dave out because he was too much of a druggie/drunk.. (don't know if you were being serious about that or if it was sarcasm, but i believe that's why)

It was the drinking that did Dave in. Granted, all of them were serious drinkers, but according to what James and Lars say, the drinking was affecting Dave's performances and his personality (in other words, he became an even more raging jackass when drunk  ), and so they kicked him out while in New York shortly before they started recording "Kill 'Em All."

Yeah he also said on ASK DAVE MUSTAINE that he beat up James, and that he got the name of MEGADETH while on a bus.

The story I heard was Dave brought his dog to band rehersal and it jumped on James' car so James beat him up. Another one was Dave dumped beer all over ron Mcgoveys bass neck and it shocked him and as Ron said "Shot him across the room" so doin sh*t like that isnt really condusive to being in a band.

as much as i love both bands and both singers, saying dave is better than james is a joke.
this is not ment as offense to dave but the first time i heard megadeth i thought that dave was singing in spanish and he is really hard to understand at first. Dave just growls and sort of sings but james actually sings unlike most thrash bands.

about megadeth,
hanger 18
sympathy of destruction
return to hanger
peace sells
tormado souls
anarchy in the uk (cover)
...are all great songs

Dave does tricks with his voice a lot. Although James is an amazing singer. He does sound good on soft songs. Dave's can make his voice go really low then bring back up in a matter of seconds which is to James disadvantage.

Dave sang nothing for Metallica. Back-up vocals when they played bars, but his voice appears nowhere on "Kill 'Em All."

Well it'd be weird if his voice appeared on kill em all, but not his guitars.

:P

Fair point, RRA. No voice and no guitars from Dave appear on "Kill 'Em All." :D

Thats whats make Megadeth so awsome! the triplets! and that they have ALWAYS had 20000x better drummer then Lars Ulrich :D

Wait until you see em live dude... its INSANE! (Tip: Watch out for the triplets live... they are garanteed to be moshparts!)

Dave was kicked out just before the recording of Kill Em All.

Lars is good but the drummer in MD is a little bit faster with better rhythm don't get me wrong but Lars is amazing just listen to the breakdown before the solo in one  But no where near the drummer in MD. Not by a mile.

And yes I know David Mustaine wasn't on Kill Em All.

overall i love lars more.
megadeth get a new drummer every minuite
lars has always been in Tallica from start to finnish
lars always gives updates and satisfys fans in any way he can. he is very entertaining. drumming wise, he may not win but i still prefer him over the 46 Megadeth drummers any day.

Have to disagree with you here. Lars is vastly overrated. Dont get me wrong, he is a good drummer though. Lars Pre 1990 is a complete 180 than Lars post black album. Its like someone took his balls and never returned them.
