Just got this the other day and I have to say it blows me away. I thought American Idiot was a masterpiece (that term gets thrown around a lot I know). I've listened to this new release probably 7 times all the way through. I love the fact these guys are bringing it still. Billie Joe's voice just gets better with age. If you are a Beatles fan you will be impressed with the vocal melodies.

For the record I don't have cable TV and I don't listen to radio - that's a sure fire way to get sick of a new and/or popular release. If you are a fan of good, solid and catchy song writing go buy a copy today. You will be inspired to say the least. The first 5 tracks just don't let up.

20 songs total with a couple of live bonus tracks. Unbelievable.

I've been in Vegas since Thursday and just got back this afternoon, so I have not yet had a chance to pick it up or give it a listen or even hear anything about it. I plan to pick it up tomorrow and I'm very much looking forward to it. Thanks, Dan!!

Dan, where did you get your copy??? I'm looking at it online at various stores and I don't see any references to live tracks. Are there special edition versions of the CD only available at certain stores???

Yahtzee!

Perhaps there is a site out there called, oh, Fat Wallet. And maybe this site has a link to something like, oh, a 30 day free subscription, no CC needed sorta thing for a site who's name rhymes with "apsody".

I'm speaking "hypothetically" here...

This CD is on day 5 in my player. Ain't it great to get new, inspiring music? So cool these guys are all family men and have put out some of the heaviest riffs to date. Us middle-aged, white suburbanite dads can still get plenty p$%^^ off. Heck, just walking on our grass earns our wrath. Total punk.

The whole album is available for streaming at Spotify too, if anyone is using that. (A library of music for 10€ a month. I highly recommend people to check it out!)

Wow Cool site thanks Alex!

Well, I've been through it a couple times so far and I'm digging it, but it hasn't just immediately grabbed me the way their last CD did from the very first listen. I'll keep listening, though. It's good -- don't get me wrong -- I'm just not as instantly amazed by it as I was for the last one. :)

I for one miss the old Greenday. Not to be a negative nancy, I haven't actually picked this album up yet, but I've been a greenday fan for over 10 years, and after releasing their greatest album (imo) "Warning". American Idiot - while great - didn't stand up to Warning, or any of the older stuff. (except the first album - it has alot of energy, but Billie Joe wasn't half the song writer he became)

I haven't checked this one out yet, but I will I've already bought my ticket to see them live in October.

The new one continues to grow on me with each listen, but I agree with you, Cones, that "Warning" is their greatest album.
