It comes in a separate email days or sometimes weeks after you buy your tickets.

It should, as long as they're still doing the "free concert download" promotion like they did on the first leg of the U.S. tour.

I think so. You might not though. Email livemetallica.com and ask them.

Yes, it's only free for Met Club members. There is an option to add a download of the show to your ticket order for $10.80 for the mp3 version ($9.95 + $0.85 service charge) but why do that when you an order it directly from livemetallica.com without the extra 85 cents fee?

Nope. Gotta be a member when you bought tickets. Plus, I don't even know for sure that they're still offering that deal. They offered it on the first leg of the tour, but I haven't bought any tickets for the second U.S. leg, and I don't remember seeing that it was still being offered.

You can always just download the show for $10 after it happens.

Last night Metallica played the Sweden date that was scheduled to make up for them having to cancel a Sweden date a month or so ago when James got food poisoning. They really tried to make up for it with the fans:

METALLICA Gives Away Thousands Of Free T-Shirts At Stockholm Concert
May 4, 2009

METALLICA resumed their European tour earlier tonight (Monday, May 4) when they returned to Stockholm, Sweden to make up for the concert on March 8 which was cancelled after guitarist/vocalist James Hetfield was hospitalized with a stomach bug and dehydration (reportedly caused by eating "a bad oyster").

The Swedish fans were given a unique gift by METALLICA. Thousands of attendees (before supplies ran out) received a free, speciallly designed METALLICA t-shirt (see image below) where the band made fun of Hetfield's food poisoning. The title of the song "Seek And Destroy" was changed to "Sick And Destroy" on the t-shirt, which also featured some new lyrics: "Stockholm on our way, oysters he will pay. Dying, one thousand deaths. Stockholm, spoilt your day. Puking, he did pay! Dying, one thousand deaths. Wretching, sick and destroy." Every attendee also got a special code enabling him/her to download the gig for free from METALLICA's official download site, LiveMetallica.com.

METALLICA's setlist was as follows:

01. That Was Just Your Life
02. The End Of The Line
03. For Whom The Bell Tolls
04. Holier Than Thou
05. One
06. Broken, Beat And Scarred
07. My Apocalypse
08. Sad But True
09. Welcome Home (Sanitarium)
10. The Judas Kiss
11. The Day That Never Comes
12. Master Of Puppets
13. Blackened
14. Nothing Else Matters
15. Enter Sandman
- - - - - - - -
16. Am I Evil?
17. Motorbreath
18. Seek and Destroy

I like how this thread about the new album cover became the official metallica thread.

BTW does anyone here post at any of the Metallica boards?

I post on the official Met Club board occasionally - it's called "Poor Posting Me."

Yes, before downloads I saw and heard above song live in 1984 in a small venue. Tickets were so cheap then that I cannot remember the price. Needless to say, it was downloaded into my memory for free. Sick and Destroy is Metallica's most memorable song to me...

Even when they were not yet huge Cliff just dominated the stage. When I saw them in '86 as an opening act Cliff was just a beast. *r*

Very cool that they've brought it out again. 8) They actually played it in Los Angeles near the tail end of the St. Anger tour in 2004, too.

Speaking of Metallica, I was in Vegas this weekend and finally pulled the trigger on something I've been wanting for awhile: a Metallica tattoo.

It's on my left calf. *r*
