That is so true =)

Well of course, Kirk has done some cool riffs i cant deny that. But when coming to the most work done... its probably James who have done the coolest riffs. And Kirk´s lead playing is weaak... sure it was a great inspiration to get me starting playing when i was 10 =) but when i got 15 i found out about Paul Gilbert and never looked back ^^

kirk may not be the most technical guitarist ever but he is still vey good. can you imagine Metallica with anyone else in kirks shoes? (not dave)

Thats so f**ked up!

Generally the Metallica fans likes Megadeth. But the Megadeth hardcore fans... they really hate Tallica! its so inmature to be mad about something that isnt even their fight... and Dave and Metallica is friends now so its just inmature to troll it XD

Yeah I have to agree with Iron there was interview Dav Navarro (Spelling?) did with Mustaine about a year back and Dave says he dislikes Kirk & Lars but dosent have a problem with James. He also went as far as saying he had sex with Kirks girlfriend. Which was a little messed up in my opinion. So I wouldnt say there best buds.

 Is Dave still in high school? That is a tad childish IMO, but whatever works for him to cope with getting kicked out of the band.

I think its funny how people compare metallica pre Kirk to when he was in the band..its like apples and oranges people. You can wish in one hand and sh*t in the other, but its not going to make it happen again. These things happen for a reason you see. Thats like saying, "what would kiss have been like without Ace in the beginning?", or "what if John Lennon wouldnt have died when he got shot". You just dont know. Sure, you can imagine it all you want, but at the end of the day whats done is done. Dave will prolly never step foot on stage with any of them again and still continue to be bitter (20+ years later too)

In a recent interview Kirk Hammett said Jason Newsted will be at the Rock N' Roll Hall of Fame induction and it is expected that he will play with the band during the jam that night, too. 8) Very cool -- and appropriate since he gave 14 years of his life to the band. =D>

It is rumored that Mustaine also was invited to attend -- and he turned them down. :? Frankly, I think it's just a rumor because I can't find anything to confirm it online. Besides, it would make no sense for Mustaine to be there unless they're going to also include Ron Govney -- both played with the band in the early days, but neither one got past the early days of the band or recorded with them.

Flea is introducing the band at the induction ceremony on April 4. *r*

UPDATE: I just found a news piece about the Mustaine invitation. He actually sounds like he turned it down graciously:

Dave Mustaine Turns Down Metallica Hall Of Fame Invitation
March 4th, 2009 11:52am EST
http://www.starpulse.com/news/index.php/2009/03/04/dave_mustaine_turns_down_metallica_hall_

Former Metallica rocker Dave Mustaine has turned down the chance to join the band when they are inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in April.

Mustaine joined the group in 1981, but left after less than two years because of conflicts caused by his alcohol and drugs consumption. Mustaine wrote a string of songs during his brief stint as Metallica's lead guitarist, prompting founding members Lars Ulrich and James Hetfield to invite him to the upcoming ceremony in Cleveland, Ohio. But touring commitments with his current band Megadeth will force him to stay away.

He writes online, "Metallica, as you know, has been selected to be inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. So, it is with much respect that I say congratulations! I also had the nice surprise of hearing that they called to invite me to the pre-ceremony party the night before, and then to the actual ceremony. Unfortunately, as you all know, I will be winding down our European tour with Judas Priest, so I will be unable to attend."

"However, I'd like to say to Lars (Ulrich) and James (Hetfield), I am so very proud of all you have accomplished. Thank you for the invitation and thinking of me."

I would love to see Dave do Jump in The Fire or Seek with them shame he that hes too proud. On Dave being a dick I think hes just very blunt and tells it how he thinks it is, sometimes it goes to far though and he comes of as a bit of a dick.

That's three in one state, not three in one city. Those three dates are spread out across the STATE of New York, which is a large state that includes one of the largest cities in the U.S.
