I've seen them on the Master of Puppets tour, Justice (twice), Black Album, Load and St. Anger. Looking forward to this week's show.

Saw Metallica in Tulsa last night. A truly awesome show!!! Excellent set list with lots of oldies, and it was Kirk's birthday, so during "Seek & Destroy" he was smothered with pies and silly string from all of the roadies.

The Sword and DOWN both opened the show and both were good. Here's Metallica's setlist from Tulsa:

That Was Just Your Life
The End Of The Line
Creeping Death
Harvester Of Sorrow
One
Broken, Beat And Scarred
Cyanide
Wherever I May Roam
Fuel
No Remorse
The Day That Never Comes
Master Of Puppets
Battery
Nothing Else Matters
Enter Sandman
- - - - - - - -
Die, Die My Darling
Phantom Lord
Seek and Destroy

One added benefit to last night's set list -- I am absolutely SICK of "Sad But True" and they've played it every time I've seen them since that song was released. +) As you can see from last night's set list, I didn't have to endure it last night, and got much better tunes instead!!! *r*

You lucky bastard you got to be there for one of the band members birthdays *0 That and you got a pretty damn good setlist (except for not having one RTL song).

In the fifth pic you posted, the guy I'm with at the show is actually in the picture. There's a guy in the top right corner of the pic wearing a gray shirt with "Alabama" on it in red. I'm standing just next to that guy -- the tiny bit of tan t-shirt you can see just to the right of him in the edge of the picture is me. :(

I just saw 'em the other night in St. Louis, and it was awesome! In fact, I'm listening to the show right now. Even cooler I got to meet the band before the show! All of them are awesome, but Lars is a little out there.

I can deal with no RTL songs -- we got "Phantom Lord," a song that has not been played live anywhere in the world in FIVE YEARS!!!

And yes, Pink, that is me with my head chopped off!!!

To clarify, I can deal with no RTL songs this time around because I have gotten them at past shows, and because this setlist was so kick ass in other ways.

#-o You're right, Damage -- I didn't even think about that, but it is on RTL. I always think of it from being released as the green vinyl EP.

Yeah I always have it listed as a single because of the awsome cover artwork. Anyway Rick did you notice anything wrong with James' voice?

Awsome video of Rehersal, Master, & Kirk's Birthday.

Actually, you know, his voice seemed fine that night at maximum volume in the arena, but now, listening to the audio download of the show from Livemetallica.com, I can hear the bronchitis in his voice in a couple spots. Still, it was an awesome show and James gave it 110%. *r*

Excellent pics. 8) I hate that I missed DOWN's homecoming show in my hometown (and their hometown) of New Orleans, but at least they were still on the bill when I saw them in Tulsa. DOWN rules!! *r*

It's strands of graphite, and if you use a magnet, they are attracted to it....

I played around with that stuff in 8th grade Science, when I wasn't sleeping. *r*
