What does a metal god do after a hard night of thrashing? :-k Why, go shopping for Armani, of course:

Yeah James has been getting some flac for that picture. Flip flops and boardshorts for Papa Het is a bad look.

OK, mj, we're gonna have to put you in timeout over there in the corner until the official release date next Friday to think about what you've done!

Do not file share it with anyone else -- make them pay for their own copy of what is clearly going to be THE album of 2008!!! 8)

Rick, I honestly feel awful because you guys are holding out so admirably, and I apparently fell off the wagon  Just know that I have loved this band for many years, they brought thrash metal to the masses. I'll sit in my corner now *sneaks Death Magnetic'ed iPod in pocket*

Don't worry, I have no plans to share! 8) If it will give any understanding (I am trying to save myself here... *lol*) I don't share files online other than bootlegs of live performances, that's the only case I use torrents where sharing is required.

I like having a physical album I can touch with artwork (don't even get me started about how much I miss vinyl being the standard!) and liner notes, and I definitely want to support them for putting out a release like this. This is definitely one of the best albums I've heard in many years. I am really looking forward to the new AC/DC and Guns N' Roses albums as well, hopefully they will be just as good.

No worries, mj!! The goal line is in sight now so I can hold out until then, but lots of hardcore fans couldn't wait and went and found it online after the leak (*glances over at Iby who grins sheepishly and shuffles his feet*).

the album is awesome! i still dont understand why they have the entire album on their website, but whatever. imo this album ranks with puppets, justice, and rtl.

well..i dont think its better than justice or puppets. those 2 albums will never be beat.

compared to the 80's albums and black album, id say

1. justice
2. puppets
3.death magnetic
4.ride the lightning
5.kill em all
6.self titled

and of course my list is based on the instrument work. justice and puppets are so epic on guitar. death magnetic is pretty sick.

Fuel I like but the others I just cant get into there not on the caliber of bad that St. Anger was but I just cant get into them. Its just one of those things where you know the songs are good but you just dont like them. Like I dont like any Black Sabbath or Pantera, but I know ther both talented. Its just one of those things where I know the music is good but you just dont like it.

shocking that you guys dont list AJFA in your top 2. but then again, im basing it on the guitar work pretty much. AJFA is such a sick album. not just the main riffs, choruses and solos..but listen to the rythms under the solo's, especially frayed ends of sanity. james is one sick man.

i love load, reload, and st. anger. not sure why i didnt list those.

Ride The Lightning

Kill 'em All
Master Of Puppets
Death Magnetic

..keep in mind these shift around all the time.. I would not be surprised to see DM jump up a notch or two.

I omitted the Black Album, Load/Reload, & St. Anger... they are OK albums to me, but nowhere near what I've listed above. I could take my most favorite tracks from them to make one album I considered to be almost great, but it would still be pretty inconsistent in terms of theme and production.

The albums rocking but no one or two songs really stand out to me the way things on others did.
