Randy was unaware of Maiden as I recall. As for Pink Floyd I do not remember ever talking to him about them.

Hey Kevin,

Do you think there will ever be a chance we could hear the entire John Stix interview tape? I've heard 3 portions of it from the KOMP show (which cuts off) and I'd love to hear it all.

Just wondering did Randy have a vivid imagination, that you were aware of.

Was it easy for him to daydream and then use these as inspiration for material?

Thankyou.

hi Kevin...
have been looking on here trying to find out this answer before i asked you but couldn't ..so here goes..
It's been well documented that Sharon & Ozzy were "upset" that Randy did the QR reunion shows & that Randy didn't think it was a big deal..
Who came up w/ the idea to do it...obviously the shows were killer..what did Randy think after the shows??Did he think that maybe i should get back w/ you & QR & ... in the pictures i've seen from one of those gigs..it looks like Rudy is wearing a bandanna over his face??
Thx

Hi Mr.Dubrow,

I was curious to know if during your time spent with Randy in the quiet riot days, did he frequently play his electric unplugged? Like for example, just walking around the house playing stuff and like collaborating with you to create new songs?

Or did he always plug into a practice amp and only play unamplified songs on his classical?

Thanks for your time! Your a god send for all the time you spend devoted to this forum's adoring fans.

Mr DuBrow,

(I'm not worthy!! I'm not worthy!! ) I would like to ask you a question. Since I know Slade and Quiet Riot (of course), the thing I like the most in these two bands are the singing. But I've always wondered, how do you do that??!! I would so much like to sing like that!! I'm in a Hard Rock/(Heavy) Metal band and I am the singer/rythm guitarist. Singing like this would be pretty cool. So far I can remember, this was the kind of voice I wanted.

So my question is: What are the exercises to do to have a voice like this?

Thanks,

Justice Fish. (Aka Vincent Lacroix-Langevin 8) )

When did QR sign on with Chavis Records officially? Just wondering becaue the Rehab album came out so fast afterwards and seems that QR is being billed as the saving grace for Chavis. I'll just add that my friends band was let go from Chavis just days before QR was announced. I see American Angel was also signed to Chavis at that period of time. Is the game plan to have them open for QR on a Chavis road tour or who will be the supporting bands on the Rehab dates? Still no Atlanta date...it's early, but metal rocks in the winter months.

Keep us posted, your DuBrow.com site seems outdated ???

((thanks))

I think you said in a Guitar World that Randy thought Eddie's playing was smoke and mirrors yet he really liked George Lynch is that true or was that a mis quote? What did Randy think of the other LA guitarists of that time like Warren DeMartini, Carlos Cavazo, Mark Kendall, Doug Aldrich, Jake E. Lee ect. Also do you have any cool stories of when Randy and George played on the same night or when Randy and Eddie did?

Kevin, I saw a post on another thread here where one of the fans had seen Quiet Riot recently and the only Randy era song played was "Slick Black Cadilllac". Have you ever considered playing some of that stuff? A heavy song like "Killer Girls" would fit well into the set, or maybe metal-izing something like "Get Your Kicks"? I would love to see you guys add something like that to your set, after all the Randy Rhoads years bring to many of us fond memories, even if we weren't there back then. Whaddya think?

When I started this thread, I had no idea how special it would one day become. Kevin took the time to address pages of questions we all had about things he was doing, everything Randy and sometimes just about Quiet Riot. It now goes into the books as a chapter of this wonderful website we have going on here. With that I have to say a very tearful good bye to someone who will be missed by all at this site.

How right that truely is. It is very sureal reading some of his replys on these pages. I cant put a finger on it, but his passing really affected me and I didnt know nor ever met him but I shared a love for his music and his honesty towards Randy which made me come to admire him. This has definitly been a tearful goodbye.

Kevin's spirit lives on this board as does Randy's. Lets NEVER forget that! Especially when we post or think about posting in vein of a comment that we may disagree with.

You rule Kevin ! Heaven is rocking right now !

Good call creating this thread Melissa. You done good.

I've been reading a few of these and was thinking how cool it was someone could ask Kevin a question and he'd usually respond. I recall several exchanges via PM about the cover of "The Mighty Quinn" QR did with Randy. By far my favorite of the Randy-era Riot.
