I never knew that Afterglow Of Our Love was a cover! I like it more than the original small faces version. I mean I love QR but they blew that song out of the water. For people that don't know this listen to this. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3zkAgrMfoc4

Yeah, Kevin was a huge fan of singer Steve Marriott and thus the cover of "Aftergow Of Your Love". You probably don't know it but "Tin Soldier" off of 'Quiet Riot I' was also a Small Faces cover. Later on in 1993 Kevin once again covered another Small Faces song, "Itchykoo Park" on Quiet Riot's "Terrified" CD. Kevin did one last cover of Steve Marriott (from his Humble Pie days) on his 2004 solo album "In For The Kill"-"Red Light,Hot Mama".

this reminds me of a party tony threw in burbank. the band was there and kevin made some rude comment about the music being played. next thing you know, he's changing the record to...you guessed it, humble pie. typical kevin. gotta love the guy though.

frank.

Wasn't Glad All Over a cover, too? I noticed it in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in some movie of people inducted, but I didn't catch the name of the band.

Yeah, it was originally a hit for The Dave Clark Five.

Ah, yes, "Glad All Over". Not my all time favorite Quiet Riot song! I think I actually laughed the first time I heard the singing on that one. But you know, I took full advantage of the "Ask Kevin DuBrow" thread, where he and I had discussed his early vocals and Kevin had said something to the effect that his singing on both QR I and QR II sucked. Although I wasn't a huge fan of the vocals on QR I, Kevin and I disagreed on one thing: I STILL say he sounded great on Quiet Riot II!!! "Afterglow" was no exception, and that album would have been a huge hit world wide had it been promoted properly. Songs like "Afterglow", "Trouble", "Slick Black Cadillac" and especially "Killer Girls" had BIG HIT written all over them!
