Wow. Who would've known? Very interesting story about that.

After a second listen it does have many similarities but it does sound worlds from whats on TUS. Definatley alot more different than lest say Vanilla Ice and Queen.

I think it's the mirror image of the song. This is definitely where it came from. It makes you wonder about BATM and where those songs came from.

Although, Ozzy has lifted (not personally) a few songs before - Diary of a Madman and Mr. Crowley come to mind. (the intros)

That song is an unreleased demo track by Wildlife, that Phil Soussan took with him when he left and joined Ozzy. So to say that "Ozzy stole it from the Overland brothers" is false. He most likely didn't even know it existed.

Thanks for the info, that explains it all then :)

Yeah, the "Diary" intro Randy "borrowed" ( ) but the intro to "Mr. Crowley"? Not a song, but just a part that a guy who auditioned for the keyboard position for the "Blizzard" album came up with and Don Airey later adapted from the other guy's original idea.

As for "Shot In The Dark":

GW: “That’s why a song like “Shot In The Dark” was a surprise because it borders on FM pop.

Jake: “Yeah, we had our doubts about that. I write a lot of songs like that-most of the songs I’ve kept have been really commercial or really weird-and I wasn’t so sure of that when Phil (Soussan-bassist and writer of “Shot In The Dark”) first presented it. It was getting kind of commercial and Ozzy wasn’t too sure of it either. But Ron Nevison (producer) gunned for that one and it worked out alright.

GW: How much input did you have on Bark At The Moon?

Jake: “Most of the music was mine. “Rock N’ Roll Rebel”, “Bark At The Moon”, “Now You See It, (Now You Don’t)”, “Waiting For Darkness” and “Slow Down” were mine.
